About The Position

The Lead RT is responsible for the direct supervision, skills development, and support of Residential Techs during their scheduled shifts. This role ensures that milieu services are delivered in accordance with Kemmerer Village, Inc. policies and procedures.

Requirements

Mental Health Professional (MHP) per Medicaid rule
Demonstrated skill in working with children of the type served.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work cooperatively with administration and staff.

Responsibilities

Effectively communicate and uphold the philosophy, policies, and procedures of Kemmerer Village, Inc.
Demonstrate ability to work actively in a team.
Utilize TCI techniques for de-escalation and safe management.
Supervise TCI techniques performed by Residential Techs and provide feedback to ensure safe and effective application.
Support consistent application of the KV philosophy and treatment approach.
Provide supervisory presence in the milieu during transitions.
Communicate observations and concerns to Cottage Lead/Campus Supervisor.
Conduct supervisory check-ins and provide immediate feedback.
Support onboarding and in-cottage training for new RT staff.
Assist in filling immediate shift vacancies.
Oversee Privilege Alteration and NPS processes as assigned.
Review and sign off on Significant Event reports.
Other duties as assigned.

Handle call-ins (Lead not mandated)

Model professionalism, fairness, and respect when working with staff and residents.
Support the Cottage Lead and Campus Supervisor by reinforcing agency policies.
Provide immediate coaching or redirection to staff and escalate concerns.
