Residential Aide - Full Time
About The Position
This position will initially be based in Brooklyn, NY and is expected to transition to the Bronx, NY within the next 3–6 months. We are currently hiring on a per diem basis, with the opportunity to move into a full-time role once the transition to the Bronx location is complete. In this exciting role, the Residential Aide provides trauma-informed care and supervision to residents, addressing their high level of need and ensuring consistent emotional and behavioral support. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our participants by providing them with the support and assistance they need. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our participants, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and assisting with daily living activities.
Requirements
- Ability to work in Brooklyn.
- Ability to work 12am - 8am, 8am - 4pm or 4pm - 12pm / Weekdays and occasionally on weekends.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Security experience or Residential Aide experience working in a shelter
- Experience working in transitional housing or supportive housing
- Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs regularly.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
