About The Position

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, part-time Residential Aide to join our team in one of our male Level 3.1 locations! Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful, independent living. Hours: Full-time - Alternating Weeks Week 1 Monday - OFF Tuesday - OFF Wednesday - 11:00am - 7:00pm Thursday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm Friday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm Saturday - 11:00am - 7:00pm Sunday - 11:00am - 7:00pm Week 2 Monday - 11:00am - 7:00pm Tuesday - OFF Wednesday - OFF Thursday - 7:30am - 3:30pm Friday - 11:00am - 7:00pm Saturday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm Sunday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Requirements

  • Ability to observe, identify, document & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.
  • Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.
  • Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.
  • Ability to conduct regular "rounds" around the entire property.
  • Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed.
  • Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.
  • Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.
  • Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled.
  • Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors.
  • Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues.
  • Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.
  • Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled.
  • Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
  • Ability to deescalate.
  • Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.
  • Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.
