Residential Aide - Cornerstone (New Haven)
About The Position
Cornerstone is a Medicaid Rehab Option (MRO) group home that provides group skill building instruction, case management, and residential support for adults with severe and persistent mental health and co-occuring disorders. This program provides the opportunity to improve independent living skills with a goal of increasing independence and safety in the community. The Residential Aide provides group and individual skill building interventions to all residents, with a focus on safety, health, wellness, and symptom management. The ideal candidate will establish, develop, and maintain respectful relationships with the people served. The Residential Aide will participate in maintaining a safe, harm-free environment for all residents.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2+ years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent
- Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
Responsibilities
- Provides group and individual skill building interventions to all residents, with a focus on safety, health, wellness, and symptom management
