About The Position

Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive "whole health" services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social determinants of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life. The Therapist - Residential Addictions is responsible for the delivery of substance use disorder treatment, collaboration with recovery residence staff, and promoting a "whole health" approach to services within an all male recovery house/center. This position will facilitate addictions and co-occurring diagnosis groups, inter-disciplinary practice integrating primary care and addressing social determinants of health, individual/family therapy, evaluations/assessments, treatment plans that may include medication assisted therapy, and crisis intervention/emergency services.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other mental health field from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required
  • Two (2) years' experience in a clinical setting working with a variety of populations
  • Ability to work and effectively deal with multiple types of personalities in a variety of situations
  • Must have excellent diagnostic and treatment planning skills
  • Must possess a temporary license to practice in the State of Indiana or;
  • Recognized as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC) by the State of Indiana or;
  • Recognized as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW/LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHCA/LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFTA/LMFT) by the State of Indiana

Nice To Haves

  • Community Mental Health experience highly preferred
  • Experience working with priority populations (substance use disorder, MAT and/or co-occurring disorders)
  • Brief, targeted behavioral intervention and substance use evaluation experience preferred
  • Knowledge of social service systems, community resources, legal systems and child welfare systems highly preferred
