About The Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The development, implementation, and evaluation of an integrated treatment approach for youth and families enrolled in services. Follow-up on referrals to the Safe Family Services program and engage youth and families in services. Maintain clinical files with accurate and timely records. Document all contacts with each parent and youth in accordance with SDYS documentation standards. Support Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) with developing skills and life plans that will support independence and successful permanent housing placement free from abuse. Conduct outreach to youth and community organizations. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends. Must be willing to provide transportation and community-based services. Assist in maintaining and developing group curriculum and facilitate group psychotherapy. Other related duties as assigned. SDYS EXPECTATIONS: Adhere to and uphold the rigorous standards of SDYS as mandated by its mission, purpose, guiding principles and standards of quality. Maintain confidentiality and privacy standards of service partner protected health information and other applicable information and material in accordance to agency and center policies, and applicable regulations and laws including HIPAA. Welcome and support SDYS volunteers and assist them in accomplishing their services whenever applicable. Effectively communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Receive and give supportive feedback to foster equity and inclusion in working relationships. Recognize, nurture, and learn from strengths in co-workers. Maintain warm, welcoming and safe work environments. Possess flexibility to accomplish job responsibilities in several work environments, whether it be from home, on the road, or in an office.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling or social service-related field with experience providing supportive services to parents, youth, and families.
  • Must be registered or in the process of being registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as an Associate.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual Preferred.
  • Knowledge of Child and Family Wellbeing (CFWB) formerly CWS processes, Trauma – Focused CBT, parent – child attachment therapy, child behavioral issues, and positive parenting services is a plus.
