About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and solutions-focused Resident Support Specialist to join our remote team. In this vital role, you will be the primary point of contact for residents, delivering prompt, friendly, and effective support across a range of topics—from maintenance requests to community resources. You'll play a central part in fostering positive resident relations, supporting housing stability, and reinforcing our mission to create thriving, opportunity-rich communities.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in customer service, property management, social services, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and active listening skills, with a friendly and empathetic approach.
  • Comfort navigating technology, including Microsoft Office, CRM, and property management software.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi/multilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries via phone, email, and resident portal.
  • Triage maintenance requests and escalate urgent issues in collaboration with property site teams.
  • Provide information and support related to lease questions, rent payments, community events, and local resources.
  • Document all resident interactions and follow-ups in property management systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the resident experience and escalate feedback or recurring issues to leadership.
  • Work closely with property managers, compliance, and maintenance teams to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Assist with onboarding new residents and supporting lease renewal communications.
