Ventura Housing is seeking a compassionate, community-focused professional to join our team as a Resident Site Manager at Valentine Road Apartments. ✨ This position includes a rent-free, on-site one-bedroom apartment (a $2,307/month value based on 2025 Fair Market Rent). Living on-site is not just a perk-it's an essential part of supporting our residents and is a condition of employment under the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. As the Resident Site Manager, you'll be the day-to-day leader and primary point of contact for the community. You'll ensure smooth property operations while fostering a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained living environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • At least two (2) years of on-site property management experience (affordable housing preferred)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish - REQUIRED
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LIHTC properties and affordable housing regulations
  • Degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or a related field
  • Crisis intervention or conflict-resolution training
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Comfort using systems such as Yardi, Adobe, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage inspections, documentation, and deadlines
  • Professional judgment, discretion, and responsiveness

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily property operations and resident relations
  • Coordinating move-ins, move-outs, and rent collection
  • Conducting annual inspections and ensuring LIHTC and housing law compliance
  • Working with vendors and maintenance teams to maintain property standards
  • Assisting with occupancy, recordkeeping, and basic budget monitoring
  • Collaborating with internal departments to support residents and property needs
  • Serving as a trusted, on-site resource for residents and addressing concerns professionally
