About The Position

This is not a desk-only job; you’ll spend your days engaging with residents, planning workshops and events, facilitating youth enrichment programs, and building trusted partnerships with community providers. You’ll work both independently and as part of a small, committed team to deliver high-quality support services to residents in HAJC-owned properties.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in human services or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in social services, preferably with public housing or tenant-focused programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, you're a natural connector.
  • Comfort facilitating workshops and working with youth.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.
  • We’re looking for someone resourceful, organized, culturally competent, and comfortable working with diverse populations, including those facing barriers related to income, disability, or language.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish? That’s a big plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Engage residents with consistent communication, orientations, and support.
  • Plan and coordinate activities, including after-school programs, summer events, and resident workshops on topics such as financial literacy, parenting, and job readiness.
  • Build partnerships with community agencies, schools, and service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of participation, case files, and service outcomes.
  • Support youth enrichment, resident wellness, and community-building initiatives.
  • Represent HAJC at community events and act as a trusted liaison between residents and services.
