About The Position

The Resident Services Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assisting with planning, directing, organizing, monitoring and staffing in resident care services subject to policies, budgets, objectives and directives mandated by regulatory agencies, and the hospital administrative team. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centered care that promotes residents’ dignity, independence, and overall well-being. The Clinical Supervisor supervises and guides non-licensed caregiving staff, ensures compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, and promotes a culture of accountability, teamwork, and compassionate service. This leader models professional standards, supports staff development, and fosters an environment that enhances resident satisfaction and team engagement. This is a working supervisor position that provides direct resident care as needed, including medication assistance, ADLs, and response to changes in resident condition or high-acuity situations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Two (2) years of experience in patient/resident care.
  • One (1) year of leadership, supervisor, or coordination experience in healthcare.
  • Current Driver’s License and successful completion of driver’s record check if assigned to drive.
  • Strong leadership managerial skills; ability to plan, delegate, monitor and improve work performance.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality.
  • Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment.
  • Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
  • The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
  • On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Med Tech certification, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
  • Two (2) years of college coursework or Bachelor’s Degree in health or business administration.
  • Two (2) years of leadership, supervising, or coordination experience in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Assists department leadership with broad operations to ensure the provision of comprehensive departmental services in compliance with all regulatory agencies and hospital requirements.
  • Ensures a collaborative departmental approach to long-range strategic operational planning, care and service design and development of organizational policies, which reflect the mission of the organization.
  • Coordinates and oversees the organization-wide departmental services.
  • Continuously assesses, measures and improves departmental performance.
  • Demonstrates responsible management of all departmental resources.
  • Demonstrates clinical/technical and managerial competency.
  • Ensures staff professional needs are met.
  • Leads, teaches, inspires, helps and consistently demonstrates hospital behavioral standards.
  • Provides day-to-day clinical oversight of resident care services for non-licensed caregivers to ensure safe, person-centered care.
  • Provides direct resident care as needed, including medication assistance, ADLs, and response to changes in condition.
  • Coaches and supports non-licensed caregiving staff to reinforce accountability, development, and care standards.
  • Ensures accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation per state regulations and organizational policy.
  • Investigates and documents incidents/variances and supports follow-up actions to improve safety and quality.
  • Partners with leadership to support regulatory readiness, competency validation, and survey success.
  • Provides resident transportation as needed by driving the bus/van to and from appointments.
