About The Position

Ada Bible Church is seeking talented and creative Production Residents to join their Service Programming team. This Residency is a developmental role designed for individuals pursuing God’s call to vocational ministry, with a specific focus on live production in a large-church environment. Production Residents work closely alongside Campus Production Leads and the Production Team to gain hands-on experience in audio, video, and lighting while contributing meaningfully to weekend services and student ministry gatherings. Through real-world ministry involvement, intentional leadership development, mentoring, and spiritual formation, Residents grow in clarity of calling, competency in ministry skills, and Christlike character, preparing them for a lifetime of faithful service to Jesus and His Church. This role also includes participation in Ada Bible Church’s broader Residency Program, offering weekly development sessions, mentorship, and community with other ministry residents. This is a part-time temporary position offered up to 20 hours per week for the August 2026 - May 2027 ministry season. Ada Bible Church is a thriving and growing multi-site church serving greater Grand Rapids, Michigan, with more than 8,500 people worshipping each weekend at their campus locations.

  • Relationally oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Foundational knowledge of technical production systems (audio, video, lighting)
  • Ability to think critically and troubleshoot when issues arise
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Humble, teachable, and eager to learn in a team-centered environment
  • Intent to pursue vocational ministry

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Production Lead for weekly Wednesday and Sunday evening student ministry gatherings
  • Support video, broadcast, and audio roles as assigned during Saturday evening services
  • Attend weekly meetings with Campus Production Lead focused on ministry experience development and spiritual formation
  • Collaborate with Campus Production Lead and staff to execute excellent, distraction‑free worship environments
  • Contribute creative insight and fresh ideas to the Service Programming team
  • Participate in weekly Production team meetings
  • Attend quarterly meetings with the department Residency Program Coordinator focused on leadership development and growth
  • Participate in Tuesday afternoon Residency Leadership Development Program focused on leadership development and group-based project work
  • Apply what you learn in the Residency Leadership Development Program within the context of your role and responsibility in your assigned ministry area
  • Engage in regular mentoring relationships with assigned leaders
  • Demonstrate a teachable posture by receiving feedback, coaching, and guidance
  • Actively reflect on calling, character, and competency as part of vocational discernment
