Resident Network Engineer needed for a direct hire opportunity with SOC's client to work in Chantilly or Richardson, TX. US citizenship required; active TS/SCI; CI Poly required Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will have Senior Network Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support experience in Data Center network environments Juniper products to be supported: QFX, EX, Apstra, Junos Deep understanding and can demonstrate technical expertise in the configuration, troubleshooting and operation of technologies and protocols commonly implemented in Data Center networks including Layer 2 switching technologies, EVPN, Layer 2 and Layer 3 Multicast, OSPF, BGP, and associated tunneling technologies (GRE, VXLAN, etc.) Experience with Automation Frameworks, DevOps Concepts, scripting, and Programming Languages (Kubernetes, Ansible, Python) a plus Provides technical knowledge and analysis, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Contributes to project meetings to report status, issues, and risks. Participates, as needed, in all phases of development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases. Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task orders or project requirements. Uses advanced mathematical principles and methods to solve exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problems in engineering and other scientific applications to arrive at automated solutions. Assess and document the current site network configuration and user requirements.
