About The Position

Act as a liaison between residents and all other University offices to facilitate and enhance the student experience in dorms.

Requirements

• Must attend one week of training.
• Reliability, strong accountability, flexibility, strong communication skills
• Organization skills required

Responsibilities

• Welcome students to the dorm, assist them during move-in and out day, and be the point of contact towards appropriate campus resources.
• Participate in all orientations and all meetings.
• Supervise the work of all other RAs in their buildings.
• Create reports for the Residential Life Director.
• Supervise Resident Advisors.
• Communicate with the Director of Residential Life and housing representative when a work order is submitted (excluding small tasks requested by residents, including following up with any progress or non-progress made on work orders)
• Be the first responder for any dorm emergency and organize fire drills with Security.
• Update RAT weekly, checking empty rooms periodically.
• Keep updated general information posters in your building, including communicating University messages to the residents.
• Attend all bi-weekly meetings with the Director of Residential Life and monthly meetings with housing/Aramark and Residential Life.
