About The Position

The Resident Engineer acts as Sine Engineering’s technical and quality representative at EMS (CM) sites. This role ensures correct execution of product requirements, smooth New Product Introduction (NPI) and volume production, and full compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations. The Resident Engineer serves as the single technical point of contact between Sine Engineering and the EMS partner.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of PCB, PCBA, and SMT manufacturing processes.
  • Solid understanding of relevant IPC standards.
  • Experience with ICT, FCT, functional testing, and board‑level defect analysis.
  • Ability to read and analyze: PCB layouts Schematics Assembly and manufacturing drawings
  • Willingness to travel to Europe is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from EVT/DVT through PVT and mass production at the EMS (CM).
  • Support first builds, pilot runs, and mass‑production readiness.
  • Ensure alignment and traceability between DFMEA, test coverage, and manufacturing controls.
  • Monitor and support assembly and test processes for PCBA and final assemblies.
  • Execute and track ECO/ECR implementation at the EMS site.
  • Review and approve manufacturing documentation, including: Process Flow Diagrams Control Plans Work Instructions Other technical and production documentation
  • Ensure proper documentation and regular reporting.
  • Act as the first responder for: Yield drops Test failures Customer or internal quality alerts
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions in collaboration with EMS and internal teams.
