About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic Resident Dining Experience Manager to lead restaurant operations at Leisure World in Silver Spring, Maryland. Leisure World is a gated community that offers a maintenance-free lifestyle convenient to all of the civic and cultural attractions of DC. We’re looking for a hospitality-driven professional with strong front-of-house leadership experience and a passion for mentoring and training staff. A background in a country club or fine dining setting is highly preferred. Typical shift is 11:00am - 8:00pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage. Requirements

  • a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement and customer service skills, as well as previous high-end restaurant management experience
  • the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • the ability to drive employee success to enhance the value of the food and nutrition team
  • the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Minimum Management Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • have oversight of day-to-day front of house operations for the on-site restaurants
  • manage a front-of-house team of approximately 20 staff members, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism
  • deliver high quality food service
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships
  • ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests
  • ensure Sodexo standards are met
