About The Position

As a team member of The Nest Family Housing program, the Site Coordinator provides essential services and support to pregnant and parenting transitional age youth (TAY) who live in our transitional housing program. This position is assigned to the Plymouth site and monitors site safety and youth services. The Site Coordinator is responsible for general oversight of the property, cleanliness, safety, and maintenance. Additionally, the Site Coordinator builds rapport with youth, provides advocacy, coordinates activities/workshops/events, and provides crisis intervention and conflict management. The Site Coordinator works closely with their team and other SPY programs to provide the best services to our youth. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the various factors that contribute to youth experiencing homelessness. Specific knowledge or experience related to youth pregnancy and parenting is ideal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in case management, counseling or related experience.
  • 1-2 years experience providing direct services to high-risk youth including counseling and advocacy.
  • Knowledge of social service resources for youth experiencing and at-risk of homelessness.Daily house and property inspection to maintain curb appeal and resident safety.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook), and Google Drive (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Daily house and property inspection to maintain curb appeal and resident safety
  • Maintain adequate inventory and storage of program supplies, including snacks, materials for activities, cleaning supplies, laundry soaps, office supplies, etc.
  • Assist with program intakes and exits, including preparing intake packets, files, and the youth’s living space
  • Coordinate and ensure meal support in the program (e.g. food pantry donations)
  • Report and document incidents and service requests in a timely manner
  • Build relationships with youth, resolve issues, and enforce house rules
  • Provide crisis management, conflict resolution, and restorative consequences
  • Coordinate volunteers for programming and event needs
  • Create and maintain a list of resources and other relevant information in the community
  • Coordinate and implement life skills trainings, workshops, activities, events, and programming led by staff, community partners or volunteers.
  • Assist in the preparation of required program reports
  • Track outcomes, data entry, and assessments as required
  • Drive SPY vehicles to transport residents to services and community activities
  • Other duties as assigned to support the goals and objectives of the organization.
