About The Position

Resident Care Director - NJ RN Required Allegro Harrington Park is seeking a Director of Nursing aka Health and Wellness Director for our Assisted Living and Memory Care community! We're seeking a nurse with a heart and passion for building a TEAM environment with a desire to care for seniors. Audit Medication Administration Report (MAR) and notify pharmacy of changesMonitor all aspects of the medication administration programConduct regular inspections of resident records and maintain in accordance with state regulationsAdminister/read TB skin tests per doctor ordersComplete resident assessments as outlined by Spring Arbor and licensure guidelines in a timely mannerConduct Develops and coordinates strategies to reduce potential of risk (i.e., safety, elopements, variances, etc.)Assist the Executive Director in implementing state regulations as requiredOn-call clinical rotationFunction as part of the management team (manager on duty coverage, team meetings, community events) Develop and implement resident care plans to meet the needs of residents per company and state policiesDirects resident care service needsConsult with families and/or primary care providers to coordinate proper resident careCommunicate and follow through with primary care providers regarding residents’ medications, treatments, and/or therapies Recruit and train new resident care team membersSupervise, delegate assignments and evaluate performance of resident care team members. Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • RN or LPN required and in good standing with state licensing authority

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or training in an equivalent setting preferred
  • Prior experience leading a clinical team
  • Prior experience with state surveys preferred

Responsibilities

  • Audit Medication Administration Report (MAR) and notify pharmacy of changes
  • Monitor all aspects of the medication administration program
  • Conduct regular inspections of resident records and maintain in accordance with state regulations
  • Administer/read TB skin tests per doctor orders
  • Complete resident assessments as outlined by Spring Arbor and licensure guidelines in a timely manner
  • Conduct Develops and coordinates strategies to reduce potential of risk (i.e., safety, elopements, variances, etc.)
  • Assist the Executive Director in implementing state regulations as required
  • On-call clinical rotation
  • Function as part of the management team (manager on duty coverage, team meetings, community events)
