About The Position

Resident Care Assistant (RCA) Ancora Memory Support at Mount Alverna Village is hiring a Resident Care Assistant (RCA) who will be assisting the needs of our residents through a person-centered approach. Ancora Memory Support at Mount Alverna Village , a part of Franciscan Ministries, is a vibrant senior living community in Parma, Ohio. At Ancora, we are at the forefront of providing specialized, person-centered dementia care. This Assisted Living community itself was designed to impact the overall well-being and quality of life for residents. It provides maximum comfort, functionality and safety within a reduced-stress environment while offering sensory stimulation. Ancora Memory Support is 0part of Mount Alverna Village, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), offering a variety of senior lifestyle options including independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing/long-term care. Additionally, the onsite rehabilitation clinic offers inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies, and state-of-the-art programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents and patients in the local community. We are currently looking for Resident Care Assistant's (RCA's) to join our growing team! In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the residents with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and social and spiritual pursuits to the best of their abilities while promoting their dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, choice, and rights.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1-2+ years of caregiving experience preferred
  • Ability to show compassion and empathy toward residents and associates

Responsibilities

  • Assist the residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and medication reminders.
  • Identify residents’ physical and cognitive changes, making appropriate follow-up decisions, documentation, and communication to appropriate associates.
  • Assist the residents with leisure time programming, including escorting them to and from activities.
  • Assist with dining services and general housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
