Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or GED is usually the minimum educational requirement.
  • People Skills: Friendly, patient, and a good listener-you've got to be great with people. Our residents are like family, and we treat them that way.
  • Team Player: We're all about teamwork here. You'll be working alongside our awesome nursing team and other team members, so being a team player is a must.
  • Attention to Detail: Making sure our residents are comfortable and safe means being detail oriented. The little things matter.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with residents' activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while ensuring their comfort, privacy, and dignity.
  • Monitor resident for any signs of distress, illness, or emergencies. Follow safety protocols, including fall prevention measures, and respond appropriately to incidents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care, including changes in condition, medication administration, and daily care activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with the nursing team, caregivers, and other staff members to ensure seamless communication about residents' needs, concerns, and updates.
  • Plan and participate in recreational activities, exercise programs, and social events to encourage residents' physical and emotional well-being. Tailor activities to residents' interests.
  • Respect and protect residents' privacy and confidentiality at all times, adhering to HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
