About The Position

Allen Place is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our clients. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for individuals who need assistance with daily living activities while fostering a warm and nurturing environment. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to join our team. We are looking for a full-time caregiver to work the 2 PM to 10 PM shift. The caregiver will be responsible for providing personalized care and assistance to clients in their homes or within a facility, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in caregiving, Home Health Aide (HHA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
  • Previous experience in caregiving or similar roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and medication administration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while demonstrating reliable and responsible behavior.
  • Physical ability to assist clients and perform household tasks as required.
  • Availability to work full-time hours from 2 PM to 10 PM, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care to clients, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transferring between different locations, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, adhering to dietary restrictions as needed.
  • Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate records of medication schedules and client health information.
  • Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health status to the appropriate supervisor or family members.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Document care provided and maintain accurate records in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
