About The Position

Assists students in adjusting to Center life by providing supervision, behavior modification,
and acting as a mentor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One-year related experience.
• Experience working with youth.
• Valid instate drivers license.

Nice To Haves

• Some College in Human Services area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Distribute dorm supplies to each dorm to ensure that students have the necessary supplies for maintaining a clean environment.
• Conduct daily inspections of student rooms Monday through Friday of each week.
• Ensures that each student receives a copy of the inspection sheet for their room.
• Ensures assigned dormitories are maintained in good repair by turning in work orders to the maintenance department.
• Repair and or replace broken furniture, bulletin boards, and other minor repair in the dormitories.
• Monitor and supervise students in the center cafeteria during the breakfast meal.
• Supervise the packing out of student(s) who are being separated from the program during the school day.
• Ensures that the department supply building is well maintained, neat, and clean at all times.
• Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
• Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
• Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
• Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
• Attends all required staff training opportunities.
