About The Position

Primary Function: Oversees the day-to-day operations of two-three residential facilities and creates a comprehensive residential experience in their buildings; recruits, selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates residence hall staff (undergraduate and/or graduate) and oversees their daily responsibilities and development; coordinates the residence hall conduct process for their buildings; chairs and serves on various departmental and university committees; engages in personal interactions with students and is visible within their communities; provides leadership, mentorship, and support to students; serves in a rotating on-call capacity for the residence hall system; communicates pertinent information to other departments on campus; and manages administrative items within the hall including the residence hall budget.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required. Spring 2026 graduates will be considered. Degree must be conferred prior to start date.
  • At least one academic year of university residence hall leadership experience at a post-undergraduate or graduate student level
  • Strong written and oral communication, administrative and organizational skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in student affairs, counseling or related field preferred.
  • Student experience will be considered.
  • Frequent evening and weekend work will be necessary.
