Sets up and performs routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals, grant commitments, i.e. assays, cell/tissue culture, animal studies, etc. Monitors results, reports unusual outcomes and suggests modifications. Collects, enters and summarizes data. Assists in the maintenance of lab equipment and supplies. Performs basic statistical data analysis; prepares tables/charts/graphs and assists in organizing data. Presents at research laboratory meetings and contributes to writing of manuscripts. Works under supervision and may perform some assignments independently as discussed and approved by Principal Investigator. About the Lab The Lomberk Laboratory investigates how epigenomic regulators, including chromatin-modifying enzymes and remodeling complexes, control gene expression programs downstream of oncogenic signaling, shape DNA damage responses, and drive disease progression in cancers such as pancreatic cancer. Our work spans mechanistic discovery to translational impact, using cell-based assays, patient-derived model systems, and mouse models to identify vulnerabilities that can be targeted therapeutically. Purpose Under general direction from laboratory leadership, the Research Technician will perform, optimize, and implement a variety of laboratory techniques and experiments to support the generation of high-quality data in a cellular and molecular biology research setting. The individual will analyze, summarize, and present data to a team of scientists and contribute to discussions guiding next steps in research projects.
