We are currently building world-class institutes for the treatment of diabetes and cancer. The Pioszak lab studies clinically important cell surface G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that are involved in diseases including migraine headache, cardiovascular and lymphatic disorders, osteoporosis, diabetes, and obesity. We are seeking a laboratory technician to conduct experiments on GPCR signaling mechanisms and drug design. We use the tools/methods of biochemistry, pharmacology, structural biology, and cell biology in our research. Much of the work involves in vitro experiments with purified proteins or cell culture systems. Provides assistance to a research staff by conducting simple research experiments, collecting data and samples, keeping records, conducting literature searches, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
