About The Position
Work as Laboratory Research Technician. Culture microbial cultures in the lab, extract and process DNA samples, produce substrate for mushroom cultivation and work with PI and Research Specialist on truffle cultivation plots at the farm.
Requirements
- High School diploma with minimum of 4-5 years experiences working as microbiology/mycology lab technician.
- OR Associate’s Degree (2 years) in Biological Sciences or related fields.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with microscopy and identification of fungi is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory for the lab
- Culture collection maintenance
- Ordering and staying in contact with vendors, farmers and clients of the lab.
- Help with laboratory training for students.
