About The Position

The Department of Surgery is looking for a dependable, detailed-oriented Research Technician II to be a part of the Duke Pancreatic Research Program in the Division of Surgical Oncology. This position will report to Dr. Daniel Nussbaum, MD. Dr. Nussbaum is currently developing clinical trials for patients with localized pancreatic cancer focused on liver-directed therapy to prevent the outgrowth of hepatic occult metastatic cells. His research has previously been supported by the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute and is actively supported by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. Position Description: Perform a variety of complex technical duties involved in conducting laboratory tests, experiments and determinations in support of Duke University research operations.

Requirements

  • Work requires a bachelor’s degree in botany, biology, zoology, psychology or other directly related scientific field.
  • No experience is required above education/training requirement.
  • Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • This position is hybrid eligible. The position is partially remote, and the employee must reside in a Duke University-approved state.
