About The Position

The lab of Claudia Han is seeking passionate and talented research professionals to join our dynamic team investigating how immune cells influence neurological diseases. Our research focuses on how transcription regulators mediate immune and brain cell behavior in both healthy and diseased states. We utilize a variety of techniques, including flow cytometry, imaging, cell sorting, and next-generation sequencing, in conjunction with innovative mouse and stem cell models. In the Han lab, you will gain hands-on experience with these techniques and have the opportunity to contribute to our research both technically and through experimental design. Dr. Han is deeply committed to the growth and success of each lab member and fostering an inclusive collaborative environment where diverse perspectives are valued and actively sought. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with research studies, experiments, and assays, including collection of data, preparation of solutions and set-up and maintenance of equipment.
  • Performs data entry and maintains data files on research.
  • Prepares tissue cultures, reagents, probe tests, etc.
  • Complies with established safety procedures and maintains required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions.
  • Ensures lab conditions and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assists with general lab maintenance and cleaning.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
