About The Position

The Aldinger Laboratory in the Norcliffe Foundation Center for Integrative Brain Research at Seattle Children’s Research Institute has an immediate opening in genomics and neurodevelopment. We use primary human tissues and stem cell models to understand how specific genomic variants lead to pediatric neurological diseases. Our goal is to translate these developmental insights into actionable molecular pathways and targeted therapies for children with rare genetic conditions. The ideal candidate will spend most of their time making contributions to new and on-going laboratory projects, requiring the ability to use independent judgment to address tasks and projects, and will identify and refine existing procedures and practices. Assist with performing routine human cell culture, basic molecular and cellular biology techniques, and genomics assays and analysis (spatial transcriptomics, long-read sequencing). Direct experience with more than one of these techniques is preferred.
