This entry-level research technical role participates in a planned research projects by performing research protocols, experimental procedures and other laboratory tasks under direct supervision. May occasionally exercise minimal discretion and judgment in execution and interpretation of experiments, and of data derived. About the Laboratory The laboratory utilizes cell culture and in vivo (mouse) models to study various aspects of innate and adaptive immune responses during allergic disease and helminth infection. Typical tasks include mouse colony management and genotyping, processing and culture of immune cells, ordering of supplies, and general lab organization. The Oliver lab is mid-sized, with a long tradition of mentoring and collaboration between lab members. Most research technicians manage their own research projects before going on to graduate school and/or medical school; two-year commitment is required.
