Exciting opportunity at MSK: Join our Biobank: Biofluids Division as a Research Technician! You will be a part of a team that powers life-saving cancer research across MSK. By ensuring researchers have access to high-quality patient biospecimens linked to meaningful clinical data, your work will help transform scientific questions into discoveries that directly impact patient care. Role Overview: Process and manage biospecimens daily, ensuring samples are handled with precision and in accordance with established protocols to support high-quality research outcomes. Contribute to ongoing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities, helping maintain the integrity, reliability, and traceability of biospecimens. Collaborate closely with Seinor Bionbank staff and lab investigators to troubleshoot issues, resolve workflow challenges, and continuously improve laboratory processes. Operate lab equipment confidently and safely. Organize and prioritize daily assignments in partnership with technician colleagues and investigators to meet operational and research timelines. Manage lab supplies and reagents, including ordering, inventory tracking, and maintaining accurate documentation to support smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Biological or Natural Science.
- Prior wet lab experience is required.
- Ability to work independently and perform repetitive tasks with no loss of accuracy.
- Attention to detail and strong record-keeping habits.
- Ability to follow protocols while troubleshooting when needed.
- Team-oriented approach to supporting postdocs and fellow researchers.
- Adaptability in a dynamic lab environment.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with QA/QC beneficial.
