About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Research Study Technician to join our team in Madison, WI! Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30 am-3:15 pm CST some weekends required. Job Responsibilities: As a Research Study Technician, you’ll apply your scientific curiosity in researching the effectiveness, safety and toxicity of drugs in early development animal research studies. Maintaining the highest standards of animal care and welfare in accordance with the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC). Handling and restraining animals Administering test items Collecting biological samples Performing clinical observations Collecting and reviewing data in accordance with the Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (GLP) and standard operating procedures Organizing study related activities and data Working in a fast paced, team environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences field, including but not limited to: Biology, Wildlife, Pre-veterinary, Zoology, Genetics, Environmental Biology, Animal Science, or related Life Science disciplines.
  • Commitment to animal welfare, safety, and ethical care standards.
  • Reliable adherence to protocols, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt, including new equipment, procedures, or compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months or more of direct animal care experience in a research lab or farming operation (large or small animals).
