A Research Specialist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. David Evans at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The successful applicant will conduct studies directed towards achieving a functional cure for HIV infection, defined as the indefinite suppression of virus replication in the absence of antiretroviral drug therapy. Research projects will involve a variety of methods, including molecular biology, biochemistry, cellular immunology, and the use of nonhuman primate models, to test novel drugs and antibody-based therapies to suppress virus replication. This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. Candidates who demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities will be given first consideration: applicants with a strong background in virology, immunology or molecular biology.
