Research Senior Technician
About The Position
The Research Senior Technician will conduct independent studies and assist with the design and implementation of funded laboratory projects. These studies will involve yeast genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, microscopy, and image processing and analysis. May coordinate, influence, or review the work of others which could include oversight of undergraduate students. Will perform statistical analyses and prepare final research reports and scientific manuscripts. The Research Senior Technician will perform administrative duties that include responding to requests for scientific materials and maintaining lab stock repositories. The Department of Molecular Genetics, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Research Senior Technician to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in any STEM area, preferably in biology, chemistry, or computer science.
- Experience with Research Technician work (assisting with experiments in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related area).
