About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Research Scientist will be to conduct wet-lab research using in vitro and in vivo models of brain injury and neurodegeneration under the supervision of the lab head.

Requirements

  • Experience with mammalian cell culture, animal handling, tissue dissection, and basic molecular biology techniques such as RNA/DNA isolation, quantification, agarose gel electrophoresis, etc., is required.
  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a natural, physical or medical science.
  • The candidate is expected to be well-organized, work well in a group setting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with human organoids is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of two years of wet-lab research experience in an academic setting (undergraduate biomedical wet lab research experience is acceptable).
  • Prior experience in neuroscience research, particularly in stroke or neurodegeneration is a plus.
