About The Position
The postdoctoral scholar is a research position, focusing on drug discovery, toxicology, pharmacology, and/or medicinal chemistry. The job may entail a training component to work with students and/or learners.
Requirements
- Doctoral Degree in a scientific area, preferably medicinal chemistry.
- Preferred two (2) years of experience in a relevant research field with experience in the design and conduct of synthetic chemistry research.
- Remains up-to-date on relevant advancement of research topic areas.
Responsibilities
- Assist with certain training tasks of students, residents, and/or fellow.
- Conduct research of drug discovery with supervisor’s input.
- Assist with the research grants preparation
- Assist with research result summary and presentation
- Maintain detailed and comprehensive research notes and record
- Take the initiative in problem solving and troubleshooting of experimental difficulties
