About The Position

A dynamic, out-going, detail-oriented project coordinator is needed to coordinate project functions for a program of research focused on environmental drivers of maternal and child health outcomes in the School of Public Health at WashU in St. Louis. This is a challenging and rewarding position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.

Responsibilities

  • Provides supporting administrative functions to the principal investigators
  • Tracks and maintains an inventory of over 100,000 biospecimens
  • Assists with grant applications and progress reports
  • Assists with tracking of project expenses and purchases
  • Helps to prepare and edit slides for scientific presentations and assists with manuscript editing and submission.
  • Maintains and updates websites and social media accounts for the research program
  • Develops participant newsletters and materials translating scientific research findings for lay audiences.
  • Develops policy briefs and/or technical reports about scientific accomplishments to inform local, state and federal officials on study results.
  • Opportunities also exist for independent data analysis and publishing in peer reviewed journals, if desired.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
