About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership and coordination for CentraCare's student research pathway, supporting high school, undergraduate, and medical students in meaningful, well-supervised research experiences across the system. The employee in this position is expected to facilitate the placement of students into appropriate clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies, coordinate onboarding and access through systems and ensure all student activities are clearly scoped, documented, and aligned with Institutional Review Board (IRB) and institutional policies. This role will work closely with the Research team, principal investigators, study coordinators, clinical sites, and education partners to create a consistent, compliant process from initial inquiry through placement, training, participation, and closeout. The position requires strong research operations knowledge, attention to compliance and privacy considerations, and the flexibility to support diverse study types and learning experiences (e.g., observational studies, interventional trials, practice-based research, quality improvement, and qualitative projects) while maintaining appropriate supervision and protection of research participants. In addition to coordinating placements, this position will support program development activities that strengthen CentraCare's research pipeline such as maintaining student-facing resources, tracking student participation and progress, supporting required training and documentation, and identifying opportunities to improve the student experience and study team efficiency. This role serves as the bridge between learners and research teams to ensure student participation adds value to research execution and workforce development while upholding CentraCare's research mission and standards.
