About The Position

The Enrico Fermi Institute (EFI) is a multi-disciplinary institute at the University of Chicago that assists with fundamental research in particle physics, astrophysics, geophysics and accelerator physics. It is part of the Physical Sciences Division (PSD). The EFI is also involved in training the next generation of researchers and is committed to creating a supportive environment that encourages teamwork among collaborators from all walks of life. The Enrico Fermi Institute is seeking an experienced Physicist to work on the short and long baseline neutrino program at Fermilab and the University of Chicago, and in the particle physics detector R&D. These experiments take advantage primarily of Liquid Argon Time Projection Chamber detectors. The experiments are underway now and will continue at different stages of design, construction, and running through 2035 and beyond.
