About The Position

As a Research Post Doctoral Fellow, you will actively engage in laboratory, translational, or clinical research under faculty guidance. Your primary objective is to advance your specialized understanding and practical skills. Engages in laboratory, translational, or clinical research under the direction and guidance of a faculty member, developing skills necessary for success as an independent investigator. Every day you will contribute to ongoing research by conducting experiments, analyzing data, or participating in clinical investigations. This experience aims to build competencies for independent investigative work. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong foundational knowledge, a proactive research approach, and commitment to developing independence and critical thinking. Aspires to excellence in work quality and quantity. Shows growth technically and intellectually. Contributes to mentor-directed research. Demonstrates capabilities to produce quality original research or clinical care. Develops skills in a research and/or clinical specialty Demonstrates potential to launch an extramurally-funded research program.

Requirements

  • Ph.D., post-baccalaureate M.D. or D.Sc. degree or equivalent in a relevant field of endeavor
  • Laboratory or clinical research at the postbaccalaureate level with an interest in a faculty member's line of study, upon hire
  • None, upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate Of Science in a relevant field of endeavor
  • Beyond minimum required, experience writing research reports concerning own work and familiarity with a biomedical discipline, upon hire
