Our laboratory uses a combination of novel genetically engineered mice and primary neuron and glial cells to determine the mechanisms underlying tumor-induced nerve injury, discover how such knowledge can be used to develop novel therapies for vision loss, and evaluate promising therapeutic agents for potential clinical trials.
