About The Position

The University of Southern California (USC) is seeking a Research Lab Technician I in the Department of Biological Sciences, Neurobiology Section, within the USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. USC Dornsife functions as the academic core of the university, and the Neurobiology Section is a vibrant and collaborative group of academic researchers focused on diverse questions in neurobiology, including synaptic function and plasticity, sensory systems, and neural coding. This position involves performing molecular biological experiments, Drosophila husbandry and genetics, and general lab organization and maintenance. The technician will also assist on research projects into synaptic plasticity. This is a fixed-term position.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
  • 6 - 12 months experience
  • Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, oral and written
