This position is for someone with a BA/BS degree in the biological sciences and an interest in medical and microbiological research on the human microbiome and virome. Our research laboratory (https://www.lai-lab.com/) focuses on how environmental exposures affect the human microbiome and chronic lung diseases such as asthma. We currently have several domestic and international projects in both children and adult populations, including studies focused on the school microbiome and virome, global health studies on air pollution and chemical exposures, and work on immune dysregulation in respiratory viral infections. Job Summary Summary Responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, organizing and preparing samples, conducting experiments, and recording and analyzing data. Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelor's degree have a grace period of six months from their hire date (up to 1 year if starting per diem) to provide degree equivalency verification.
