This position will help create, integrate, and administer physical and virtual servers, on premise and in the cloud (hybrid) infrastructure that is used for research to support the college's strategic investments. The position will help manage the college's research computing environment, including applications, clients, file systems, and research related Windows and Linux servers. The position will also be able to function in a Windows server environment and maintain client interconnectivity from Windows and Apple OS systems. This position requires someone who is reliable, responsible, ethical, and able to complete tasks with a team and independently with minimal supervision. The Research IT System Administrator must be able to provide outstanding customer service and represent the CAS IT Team through daily interactions with different user groups such as students, faculty, staff, and administration. On-call duties are shared and may occasionally require evening and weekend work. The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by the start date. The department will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
