Requirements

  • Education: HS Diploma
  • Experience: 1-year experience in laboratory.
  • Any combination of education, training and experience that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed hiring rate is $22.00p/hr. to $22.00p/hr.
  • For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant's skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
  • Unless otherwise specified, all posted opportunities are located in the New York or Greater Tri-State office locations.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a research lab activity with animal handling/experimentation, PCR, flow cytometry and microscopy is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible participating in various studies in LFKRI.
  • Prepare for experiments by performing set up instructions per laboratory protocols as well as instructions from the Researcher.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness by cleaning lab, lab equipment and glassware
  • Makes recommendations to improve organizational processes.
  • Prepare research by organizing research area and chemicals (if appropriate), Following the Researcher's instructions and asking questions when instructions are not clear to them.
  • Be aware of all safety protocols within the lab and be prepared to take notes during all experiments.
  • Any related duties as assigned.
