Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a master's program or Ph.D. in computer vision or closely related fields.
  • Be physically located in your manager’s Microsoft worksite location for the duration of your internship.
  • Submit a minimum of two reference letters, a cover letter, and any relevant work or research samples.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated publication record in top-tier vision or ML conferences (CVPR, NeurIPS, ICML, ICCV, ECCV, AAAI, IJCAI, 3DV) and journals (IEEE/ACM Transactions, IJCV).
  • Comprehensive Deep Learning, algorithmic and software engineering background.
  • Experiences on self-supervised learning, mixture of experts, and/or applications to dense vision problems.

Responsibilities

  • Put inquiry and theory into practice.
  • Learn, collaborate, and network with fellow doctoral candidates and world-class researchers.
  • Advance personal careers and contribute to exciting research and development strides.
  • Collaborate with mentors, other Research Interns, and researchers during the 12-week internship.
  • Present findings.
  • Contribute to the vibrant life of the community.
  • Help devices compute a better understanding of the user and the environment using deep learning techniques.
  • Analyze multimodal sensor data and interpret various human and human-object interactions.
  • Work with a growing team of talented researchers dedicated to enabling seamless human-computer interactions.
  • Use data and hardware only available to a select few to push the state of the art in the field.
