About The Position

The Huang Laboratory at Mayo Clinic is a translational physician–scientist–led research program focused on developing next-generation, non-viral liver-directed gene therapy platforms for cancer and rare diseases. Our work centers on innovative hydrodynamic and endoscopic delivery approaches to enable efficient, liver-specific gene transfer and in situ production of therapeutic molecules. By integrating gene therapy, cancer immunology, and advanced endoscopy, our goal is to create scalable, safe, and re-dosable alternatives to viral vectors and to develop transformative treatments for gastrointestinal malignancies such as colorectal and hepatocellular cancer. The lab operates within a highly collaborative environment at Mayo Clinic, with strong connections to immunology, transplantation, bioengineering, and clinical trial programs, enabling rapid translation from bench to bedside. We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows with a strong interest in gene therapy, immunotherapy, and cancer biology. Candidates should demonstrate strong scientific curiosity, independence, and commitment to translational research aimed at developing clinically impactful therapies.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in immunology, molecular/Cell Biology, bioengineering, or a related field
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills are required
