Wei Liu, Ph.D. 's lab is looking for a postdoc research fellow to work on cutting edge application of physics/engineering/computer science to medical physics. Medical Physics is a highly interdisciplinary field to apply physics/engineering/computer science into medicine. Being a medical physicist is a well-paid and stable career in the US with a good balance of life and work. You will have a good sense of achievement as a medical physicist since what you do is directly saving the lives of cancer patients. The successful candidate has a chance to enroll into the medical physicist residency programs in the US and then he/she will be eligible for American Board of Radiology (ABR) board examinations. If the candidate passes the ABR board examination, he/she will be ABR board certified and can practice the medical physics clinical service in the US. A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
