Research Fellow, Biochemistry
About The Position
Post-doctoral Research Fellow to perform laboratory experiments, analyze and interpret data, and plan experiments in support of major research projects led by Dr. Keith Gagnon. Minimum requirements for the Postdoctoral Fellow position are a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related life science field and authorship on at least one publication in a peer-reviewed journal. Incumbent should be sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minorities. They must be competent in multi-step chemical syntheses and competent to efficiently learn and master new techniques in biochemistry and molecular biology. It is desirable that the Postdoctoral Fellow have familiarity with CRISPR-Cas biochemistry, nucleic acid chemistry and biochemistry, chemical organic synthesis, bioinformatics and computational tools, mammalian tissue culture, RNA biology, basic and advanced molecular biology laboratory techniques.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related life science field
- authorship on at least one publication in a peer-reviewed journal
