Learning Objectives Upon successful completion of this Community and Administrative Practice (CAP) field placement, students will demonstrate broad CAP social work skills and professional behavior as defined by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE): Demonstrate ethical, professional, and culturally competent research practice by applying NASW ethical standards, protecting client confidentiality, and using ethical frameworks throughout data collection, analysis, and reporting. Collect, interpret, and present program evaluation data using appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods to inform decision-making and assess program effectiveness. Integrate client voice and systems thinking into evaluation processes by identifying how client experiences, organizational structures, and community contexts interact to shape outcomes. Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams to co-design evaluations, analyze findings, and translate complex data into actionable insights for programs, leadership, and external partners. Communicate findings clearly and persuasively to multiple audiences within a nonprofit environment, demonstrating the ability to adapt messaging and presentation style to diverse stakeholders.
