About The Position

The Research and Evaluation Analyst is an execution-focused role that supports the Research & Evaluation Department in outcomes evaluation, performance improvement, and applied research benefiting children, youth, and community wellbeing. Under the direction of the Research & Evaluation Manager, the Analyst is responsible for maintaining high-quality data and reporting infrastructure by monitoring data quality across databases and surveys, cleaning and preparing data for analysis, supporting recurring reporting and performance monitoring workflows, and maintaining documentation related to data systems and evaluation processes. The Analyst collaborates with staff across departments to support routine data entry questions and small project-related tasks, helping ensure data is entered accurately and used consistently. Through a focus on data accuracy, consistency, and usability, the Analyst contributes to informed decision-making and the delivery of high-quality, data-driven reporting that aligns with Hanna Center’s trauma-responsive and equity-centered approach to care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science, public health, data analytics, statistics, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience supporting evaluation, research, data analysis, or performance measurement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and maintaining data in CRM or EHR systems, including supporting data quality, troubleshooting issues, and assisting users. Salesforce knowledge preferred
  • Advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to pivot tables, using formulas, and creating visuals
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to clean and prepare data, identify patterns, and support descriptive, quantitative, and qualitative analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines within a structured team environment.
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience conducting intermediate quantitative or qualitative analysis using statistical or analytic tools (e.g., R, SPSS, Stata, or similar).
  • Experience with building data visualizations (Tableau, Canva, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Results-Based Accountability (RBA), equitable evaluation approaches, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), and/or trauma-responsive or trauma-informed frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine data quality checks and support ongoing maintenance of data systems and integrations by monitoring synchronization, identifying issues, and assisting with corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for data corrections and routine data entry questions by identifying errors or inconsistencies, resolving issues when possible, and escalating as needed.
  • Maintain and update documentation, SOPs, and reference materials related to data systems, dashboards, and evaluation workflows.
  • Under the direction of the Research & Evaluation Manager, prepare, configure, and implement quantitative and qualitative data collection tools (e.g., surveys, assessments, focus group or interview guides).
  • Support quantitative and qualitative data collection activities during launch, monitoring, and close-out, ensuring data is collected accurately and consistently.
  • Execute assigned data collection and reporting tasks according to established timelines and priorities set by the Research & Evaluation Manager.
  • Update dashboards and performance monitoring outputs on a recurring basis and as needed.
  • Prepare graphs, tables, charts, and other visual materials for recurring reports and one-time presentations for leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Support first-level quantitative and qualitative data analysis by cleaning and analyzing data as directed, and draft report components for review by the Research & Evaluation Manager.
  • Participate in internal cross-functional meetings as needed to support data collection, reporting, and evaluation workflows.
  • Maintain regular internal communication with colleagues to respond to routine data questions and coordinate completion of assigned tasks.
  • Provide support and training to staff outside of the Research & Evaluation Department related to data entry practices, use of data collection tools.
  • Adhere to organizational data governance, confidentiality, and consent policies when handling sensitive information.
  • Support execution of special projects identified by the Research & Evaluation Manager that improve data collection efficiency, reporting reliability, or evaluation workflows.
  • Other duties as assigned.
